I envision this scene being shown in a montage style. The scene covers a four hundred year period of time that is characterized by a number of colorful characters and repeated cycles of action that constantly throws the twelve tribes into chaos. It seems as if each new generation forgets the lessons of the past. They rebel against God. In response to their rebellion, God allows foreign invaders to conquer and subjugate the Israelites. In their misery, the Jews call out in repentance and God uses charismatic leaders who drive out the invader and restore Israel to a right relationship with God.
